¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons toasted white sesame seeds, plus additional for garnish
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons canola oil or other neutral oil
½ cup plus 2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons miso, preferably red miso
1½ tablespoons mirin
2 teaspoons lime juice
½ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
½ teaspoon rice wine vinegar
¼ teaspoon agave syrup
¼ teaspoon finely chopped garlic
Put all of the ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Add additional water as needed to thin the consistency.
Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Or put in a storage container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
